The Year Card is a personal tarot theme card that changes every year. Unlike the unchanging Life Card, the Year Card tells you <strong>this year's</strong> energy theme, main lessons, and what your soul wants to accomplish this year.
The Year Card is valid from one birthday to the next. Some calculate from January 1st, others from their birthday — both approaches have supporters, so choose what resonates most with you.
How to Calculate Your Year Card (2026 Example)
Add the digits of <strong>this year (2026)</strong> + your <strong>birth month</strong> + your <strong>birth day</strong>. If the result exceeds 22, keep adding digits until you reach 1-22.
Example: Birthday May 23, 1990, calculating the 2026 Year Card:
- 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 + 0 + 5 + 2 + 3 = 20 (Judgement)
Note: You do <strong>not</strong> need to input your birth year to calculate the Year Card — only the current year + birth month and day.
